From August to October 2022, I lived and worked in the popular beach town of Canggu, where I met other like-minded digital nomads and explored some of the island's most famous spots.

Finding a Homebase in Canggu

My first task upon arrival was finding a comfortable and functional homebase to work from. Canggu proved to be the perfect choice, with its laid-back atmosphere, abundance of coworking spaces, and proximity to the beach. I settled into a cozy villa with reliable internet and a workspace that made it easy to stay productive.

Meeting Other Digital Nomads

One of the highlights of my time in Bali was meeting other digital nomads from around the world. Whether it was over a cup of coffee at a local café or at one of the many community events, I found it easy to connect with others who shared my passion for remote work and travel. We exchanged tips on the best places to work and play, and even collaborated on a few projects.

Exploring Famous Spots in Bali

Of course, no trip to Bali is complete without exploring some of its most famous spots. I made sure to visit iconic places like the rice terraces in Ubud, the sacred monkey forest, and the stunning beaches of Uluwatu. But I also discovered hidden gems, like the lesser-known waterfalls and temples tucked away in the island's interior.

Staying Productive as a Digital Nomad

While it was tempting to spend all my time exploring Bali's beauty, I knew that staying productive was essential to maintaining my digital nomad lifestyle. Thankfully, Canggu has no shortage of coworking spaces, with comfortable desks, high-speed internet, and coffee on tap. I found myself most productive in the early mornings, before the midday heat and tourist crowds set in.

Leaving Bali with a New Perspective

As my two months in Bali drew to a close, I felt grateful for the experience and inspired to continue living and working as a digital nomad. Bali taught me the importance of balance - of carving out time for work and play, of staying connected with others, and of immersing oneself in new cultures and experiences.
